Hi,

All of the attached DMP files are of the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f) bug check.

This bug check indicates that the driver is in an inconsistent or invalid power state.

If we run an !irp on the blocked IRP address (4th parameter of the bugcheck), we get the following:

Code:
>[ 16, 2] 0 e1 fffffa800a84f210 00000000 fffff80002eb5710-fffffa800c948820 Success Error Cancel pending
           \Driver\[COLOR=#ff0000][U][I][B]nvlddmkm[/B][/I][/U][/COLOR] nt!IopUnloadSafeCompletion

nvlddmkm = nvlddmkm.sys which is the nVidia video driver.

Ensure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest video card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the latest to ensure it's not a latest driver only issue. If you have already experimented with the latest video card driver and many previous versions, please give the beta driver for your card a try.

Regards,

Patrick

ok, will do. I'll let you know in about 1 week if all went well, otherwise expect another dump investigation ;).

Not a problem. If you don't mind, I'd appreciate an update regardless of the outcome (good or bad). It helps to know if the recommendations we've given were the answer for any future users that may have the same issue via searching.

Regards,

Patrick

Seems like it solved. The beta version seems to have done the trick.
Anyway, I'll continue testing to see if anything else wrong happens.

Glad to hear, thanks a lot for the update. Go ahead and navigate to Thread Tools > Mark as solved when you're comfortable (top of thread page).

Regards,

Patrick

Smells like solved to me.

The other issue I had seems unrelated to this problem and I think I solved the other one too.

Sorry for taking so long to answer but it seems like the forum failed to send me the e-mail about your post.
