Experienced IT user here, but one of my windows 10 machines has some issues with the latest cumulative update 2024-03 for Windows 10 Pro.
I have managed to fix another problematic security update 2024-01 (the one that we had to increase the recovery partition size to 1024MB) after i did that i started having issues with updating the newer updates. The .Net updates seem to work fine.
1) I have tried to run SFC /scannow with no issues.
2) DISM commands show that it can be repaired but when I run the command DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth i get the dreaded message source files could not be found.
3) Also i have downloaded latest 22h2 image from Windows and tried to run the DISM /restorehealth command directing it to use the ESD file (index 6 for windows 10 pro) with no luck
4) i have tried to convert the ESD file to WIM file and run again with no luck
5) i have tried to run the command directing it as source to another similar windows 10 pc with similar updates (directing at its windows folder) with no luck
6) i have run SFCFix and it shows no error. (it still displays an error while running "source files canont be found" like when runnning manually.
I have noticed in CBS.logs that i have several manifest corruptions:

Please let me know on how to proceed. i prefer not to do installation from windows again (keeping files and programs) because it may affect other things. This machine has over 1500 programs and games installed (mainly games -Steam Games/Epic Games/Ubisoft Games installed in 40 TB of HDDs) and it took me months to create from scratch this machine to replace an old windows 7 machine with exact same programs and settings. i have used a tool to migrate everything automatically but it took many more months to manually check things and game saves one by one.
