[SOLVED] BSOD Clock interrupt was not receieved on a secondary processor

Hey all, thanks for your time.

Anyway, I ended up getting the BSOD when I upgraded to windows 8, it was incessant so I got a refund and when back to windows 7 to try and fix the problem. It happens less now but it seems to be triggered by some movies files being played or flash games/video streaming. I'm terrible when it comes to software debugging so if anyone has an idea, I could really use a step by step walk through. Here are my specs.

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz, 3068 Mhz
6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

JetWay JBI-600-LF LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard


WD 250GB HDD 7200RPM
EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 2GB 256-bit

PSU RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 530W


I'd attach the minidump, but I'm unsure of how to open them.

Also I'm sure its not the graphics card or HDD because they're both less than 2 months old and purchased after this started happening. The rest are about 3 years old.

No that must have been my bad, I just followed directions on the link someone sent me and it told me to start a new thread. Derp on my part. All is well, just waiting on some suggestions to fix my BSOD problem now :)
 
Only 118 updates after SP1 - most systems have 130 to 140. Please visit Windows Update and ensure that you have ALL available updates

You have a Belkin Wireless USB network adapter. Win7 doesn't like these devices, especially with older (Vista-era) drivers. Here's my rant on these devices:
I do not recommend using wireless USB devices. Especially in Win7 systems.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7 - and using Vista drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have Win7 drivers - DO NOT use Vista drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.

The first device is likely an Atheros wireless USB device. Please install the drivers for this device - or physically remove the device from your sytsem.
The second device is a wireless card mounted inside your computer. Is it deliberately disabled? If so, why? Regardless of why, it should be enabled and then it's drivers should be updated (IMO this device is more reliable than the Belkin wireless USB network device)

EVGA Precision is a known cause of BSOD's in Win7 systems - but I'm uncertain if EVGA Precision X is or isnt'. I'd suggest uninstalling it in order to test (feel free to reinstall it if it isn't).

If you are overclocking, please stop while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume the overclock once the BSOD's have stopped.

Your wired networking drivers date from 2009 - please update them.

The most likely problem here is the Western Digital software that dates from 2008. Please uninstall it.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Sorry for the late response but my work schedule has been crazy.

As for your advice it seems to have done the trick! So far so good. I attempted to do the usual thing to invoke a BSOD but no such luck so far. Thank you very, very much.

As for my WLAN card being replaced by the USB, the only reason was we switched ISP's and since then my WLAN refuses to accept the password. I've tried changing the security type and everything yet it just hates the provided modem/router. I liked my card, I'm completely on your side about those over USB devices, but I had that one laying around and don't feel like replacing it just yet.

Again, thank you for the help. Don't know why I didn't think of updating the drivers sooner.
 
90 to 95% of BSOD's are caused by 3rd party (non-Windows) driver problems
These include:
- outdated drivers
- incompatible drivers
- corrupted drivers

An update is the first thing we suggest to replace the faulty driver.
