Anyone want to try and help with this one?
Mid-use, user is have Excel crash at random. The issue occurs with multiple documents. We have uninstalled and reinstalled Excel and that caused the issue to go away for exactly one week. There are no Add-ins enabled at this time and the issue is occurring with Excel crashing 2-4 times a day. We have run all available updates as well as repaired Excel with no change in performance. Here are some details:

Event 1000, Application Error,
Exception code: 0xc000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000001c0f3b
Faulting Application path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\EXCEL.EXE

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Excel 2013 Crashing

Hello,

I assume this is a duplicate of https://www.sysnative.com/forums/bsod-crashes-kernel-debugging/7818-excel-2013-crash.html.

Provided the current information, it's hard to say what the issue is. For starters, I would like to have the following:

  1. More information about the system
    1.1 Download BSOD_Windows7_Vista_v2.64_jcgriff2_.exe
    1.2 Run it as administrator
1.3 Attach the results ZIP here
  2. Application Event Log
    2.1. Run EVENTVWR.MSC
2.2. Right click on Windows Logs -> Application and select "Save All Events As...".
2.3. Attach the EVT file here
  3. Memory dump for the crash
3.1. Download ProcDump and extract it to the root of your C:\ drive
3.2. Run elevated command prompt (press WIN key, type CMD.EXE, right click on the result and select "Run as administrator"
    3.3. Type the following command: C:\PROCDUMP -accepteula -ma -w -e excel C:\
3.4. Attach the DMP file here

Excel crashed because of a access violation, which can be caused by quite a few things. Could you please download ProcMon, and then start a trace for Excel when the program is most likely to crash.

Start ProcMon, and then save the ProcMon ouput as .PML file if Excel crashes. Upload in a zipped folder in your next post.
