Hi,

Although I work in the IT industry I am not particularly technical (but I am anal) - working as a business analyst. Like many blokes, I am a bit nerdy and gadgety :)

By and large I have managed to fix most of my home issues myself, though helpful and informative sites such as this one, but I have hit a brick wall this time. So have taken the plunge and joined up, hopefully I will be able to return some helpful advice to other members - eventually.

Am looking for guidance where to actually raise posts. I don't have a BSOD but do have latency issues (plainly visible through LatencyMon) which are making the machine almost useless for anything more than very simple browser access. As your forums generally request provision of files for analysis before posting, I am keen to get the right information ready.
Thanks in advance

I would start with a Malware/Adware check. If everything is good there then they can send you to the Windows forum.

Post an inquiry here. Instructions for what to post are here.

I have come back to this thread because I dont seem to be able to find a way to escalet the lack of any response. I appreciate that this is a free service and therefore I don't want to appear ungrateful, nut not sure how long I should wait for a response. The last feedback I go on my thread was a request by a moderator to load 'verifier crash reports' whihc h was requested on 14th September (and uploaded on the same day) and I haven't heard anything since.

In addition, I am going through what I would call an 'elimination phase' rather than 'root cause analysis'. I am very happy to take a methodical approach, but if it is going to take over a week per step, then I may be here a very long time.

So if someone can tell me if I am being too demanding and that a week i(or longer is normal) then fair enough - at least I know. If it isn't normal, then please can someone tell me how I encourage a response?

This is sent in the manner of looking for help and not having a go at anyone, I am sure the team are working flat out with demand far outstripping resource.
