Thanks Aura, If it's only necessary to uninstall KB3035583 to avoid upgrading to 10, does that mean I should still install newer versions of patches like KB295664, or is it okay to hide these as well? Thanks.

Thanks Aura, One other thing I wanted to ask about is that Windows Update has just upgraded KB3083710 from Optional to Important. I haven't been able to find much about this patch - should I install it or is it okay to hide it? Thanks.

A few months ago I ran into complications relating to windows Update trying (and failing) to upgrade to Windows 10. I didn't want to upgrade to 10 at the time and eventually uninstalled and hid update KB3035583 and, under the guidance of a Sysnative Admin, made a slight change to the WU registry...
