Hello. I am new here but have seen you guys have helped several admins. I am having the exact same issue that I have seen on other threads where update KB5039705 will not install. SFC cannot repair files and DISM is giving me the 0x800f001f. I will attach the CBS but not sure how to get the component scanner logs. Thank you so much.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Step 1. Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Thank you. DISM worked. It successfully installed the latest update which is great but SFC is still failing. SFCFix.txt and CBS are attached.

Hi,

The latest CBS log looks good, so please run the System File Checker again and if it fails attach a new copy of the CBS logs.
Code:
SFC /Scannow

Hi,

You're welcome. I assume that the latest updates are installed without any issues?

And thanks for your donation to Sysnative.
