Good morning,

I'm trying to make use of a realtek audio interface integrated into an old Gigabyte motherboard but after installing the drivers (multiple version tried) only the digital audio outputs are detected by the system (audio not tested). The analog output sockets are detected but not available due to the jack not being inserted, but even if I connect the jack the outputs remain unavailable. No way of making it work.

Here's a list of what I've tried so far:

- Official legacy drivers from vendor
- Official drivers for Windows 11
- Windows 11 automatic driver detection
- Workaround from Realtek Audio Manager (front panel detected but no audio output)

It seems to be a common problem with old hardware and Windows 11 so I hope this post can make some points about it.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Bye

What is the Make and Model# of the Gigabyte Motherboard?
Press the Windows key +X and choose Device Manager.
Are there any devices with yellow marks next to any devices?
You should only download drivers from the Gigabyte web site for that model.
You can also in Device Manager go to the Toolbar/View/Show Hidden Devices

If all fails, the audio adapter may have failed and you can use a USB Audio device.

Hi @spunk.funk,

thanks for your reply. In the meantime I switched to a pci-x soundcard.
The issue still remains strange, since the audio adapter seems to work properly.
I suspect a driver compatibility issue.

Bye
