Hi,
I got problem to apply cumulative updates since june.
The event log shows this when trying to install the August rollup "Windows update "Security Update for Windows (KB5041578)" could not be installed because of error 2147956498 "The component store has been corrupted"
I have tried to to execute "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" with the resultError: 0x800f081f "The source files could not be found"
In the CBS.log there is a problem with all files in the folder "amd64_windows-defender-management-powershell_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.17763.5830_none_311d57717347d139".
I have tried to use the same command and used different source like different setup DVD builds and also tried to use another server with the same OS build as source but with no success.
I have tried copy the files from a healthy system with the same build and patch level to "C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_windows-defender-management-powershell_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.17763.5830_none_311d57717347d13" but still the same problem
I have restored the original files before I executed the latest SFC scan, DISM and Component Scanner.
Thanks
Patrick Hedrén
