Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Step 1. Download
6530fbb0f4101-56f31e53c97da-SFCFix.PNG
SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Step 3.Run

ComponentsScanner again.
  • Right-click ComponentsScanner.exe and select "Run as administrator", click Yes on the UAC (User Account Control) prompt which appears.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Once complete, a report will be saved to your desktop called ComponentsScanner.txt.
  • Post the logfile ComponentsScanner.txt as attachment into your next reply.

Hmm, which security software is in use, this to rule out SFCFix was blocked for some reason?

the endpoint protection is trendmicro. it crashed when was writing something in stage 6 and it tried 3 times (always got an error) then it crashed

Please check the following location: C:\SFCFix\CrashDumps to see which files it contains.

Thanks, I'll need to consult the developers here at sysnative to report this issue.

But to resolve this problem, are your familiar with icacls to replace the components folders manually into the WinSxS directory?

I can look at it, no problem. I need to extract the folder form the zip you have attached before to see what are the folders, don't I?

Yes, extract the SFCFix.zip and copy all the folders inside WinSxS to C:\Windows\WinSxS

How did you run SFCFix, as per the given instructions to drag and drop the ZIP-file into the SFCFix.exe executable?

Hmm, that's strange. Is SFCFix also crashing when you run it from the command line e.g.?
Code:
C:\Temp\SFCFix.exe C:\Temp\SFCFix.zip

I'm give it a try now. I copied the permission with icacls, but with robocopy run as system user failed to copy to winsxs. do I need to copy as trustedinstaller?

C:\Temp\SFCFix.exe C:\Temp\SFCFix.zip
I tried from cmd and this is the error at stage 6
"failed to create zip with file errno 2"

Hmm, it seems something is blocking SFCFix to run correctly?! Are you able to disable Trend Micro or whitelist SFCFix just to rule out some things.
