Hi folks,

I'm getting this on a 2019 server after DISM and SFC complete without errors and its driving me nuts.

Manually extracted and installed latest Servicing Stack - SSU-17763.6289-x64.cab via DISM add-package (completed without errors). Still receive error.

This is what the cbs log says:
2024-11-01 17:27:22, Error CSI 00000032 (F) Hydration failed for component Microsoft-Composable-Start-Binaries, version 10.0.17763.5830, arch amd64, nonSxS, pkt {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35} on file StartComponentOM.dll with NTSTATUS -2146498171[gle=0x80004005]
2024-11-01 17:27:22, Error CSI 00000033@2024/11/1:16:27:22.097 (F) Attempting to mark store corrupt with category [l:18 ml:19]'CorruptPayloadFile'[gle=0x80004005]
2024-11-01 17:27:22, Info CSI 00000034 Hashes for file member [l:20]'StartComponentOM.dll' do not match.

SFCFix does not detect any corruptions.

Any help would be great....

Hi @knallerk,

Welcome to Sysnative Forums!

If you haven't already, please review the posting instructions here, and attach the requested log files. Without log files, our helpers will not be able to assist, and this will slow down fixing your machine.

If logs have been already been provided, our team of volunteers will analyse the provided log files to build a fix for your system. Please be aware that this may take several days from your initial post, due to the high volume of threads that we receive.

  • Please copy this file to your desktop.
  • Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
  • Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
  • If the file is too large to upload here, upload the file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.

Please provide the latest CBS logs.
would if I could... tried to reboot in the meantime, remains in "Preparing windows... don't turn off.." screen for quite some time.

Will post back as soon as the machine comes back on (eventually)

So if I understand correctly the update failed after the restart with a rollback or is it still running?

I tried the update without prior reboot. It failed, and I rebooted the machine manually, and it's taking a while during restart.

The latest log shows another corrupted component, so here's the next fix.
