Hello,
After some windows 10 auto update and drivers auto update in Nov 11th,I have the same question as the background in this link:
[SOLVED] Configuration Registry Database Corrupt and Windows Updates & Driver Installs Failing
devices no longer had drivers installed,Windows Update Kb5046613 and kb5046542 had failed (and continues to fail) with code 0x800703f1,The Windows update downloads just fine and seems to start installation ok, says it needs to reboot to complete but then during the bootup install phase it says it cant update and that its backing it out.
All attempts to install or update drivers are failing with an error saying that a driver was found but an error was encountered when attempting to install them "The configuration registry database is corrupt".
I have also tried SFC and DISM scans but it did not resolve the issue.
SCANNOW says "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them".
I've also tried the SFCFix tool here on Sysnative but it completed having not found any corruptions.
and I found many warnings in CBS like this:
2024-11-13 08:26:45, Info CSI 00000c5b Warning: Overlap: Registry value collision found under key \REGISTRY\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Launcher.AllAppsDesktopApplication\Shell\RunAs\ for , only one component should set this value

2024-11-13 08:26:45, Info CSI 00000c5c One of the components setting this value is Microsoft-Windows-AppResolver, version 10.0.19041.4842, arch Host= amd64 Guest= x86, nonSxS, pkt {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}

my windows is upgraded from windows 7
版本 Windows 10 professional
版本号 22H2
安装日期 ‎2024/‎5/‎20
操作系统内部版本 19045.4651
体验 Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19060.1000.0

I put CBS,COMPONENTS,ComponentsScanner.txt,DRIVERS,setupapi.dev.log in the zip,I saw in some other threads need these to solve the problem.
I need your help, thank you very much!

Hi @worldfire,

Welcome to Sysnative Forums!

If you haven't already, please review the posting instructions here, and attach the requested log files. Without log files, our helpers will not be able to assist, and this will slow down fixing your machine.

If logs have been already been provided, our team of volunteers will analyse the provided log files to build a fix for your system. Please be aware that this may take several days from your initial post, due to the high volume of threads that we receive.

After reading How to repair corrupt or dirty registry hive files - 0x800703f1 - ERROR_BADDB / error 0xc000014c,I fixed DRIVERS hive in this way, then I ran dism restorehealth and scannow, something was fixed, drivers of divices back to healthy.
Praise the forum and members, thank you!

But the two updates Kb5046613 and kb5046542 still cannot be installed(0x80070003),I tried Windows update troubleshooter, first time fixed the problem of registry, then tried update, still failed. Then I ran troubleshooter three times continuously, the first and third time WinRETargetingPlugin in WaaSMedicService found and fixed some problems, maybe this is the last problem,I will try to update again, hope it can be successful.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

When the update fails again, please atttach a copy of the following logs. Error 0x80070003 means there's still a driver issue after repairing the DRIVERS hive.

C:\Windows\Logs\CBS.log
C:\Windows\INF\Setupapi.dev.log
