Please perform the following steps.

1. Unzip the folders: (WinSxS and Manifests) from the SFCFix.zip file to C:\Temp
2. Run FRST again to copy those files to the Component Store.

  • Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
  • Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
  • Press the Fix button.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally.
  • When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  • Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.

The fix completed successfully.

Please run the following DISM command again and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

It ran and then errored.

There were 2 log files in the CBS logs area with the same timestamp so I just included both

Do you have a similar Windows 10 system in your network which we can use as source?

I have a fresh install on an SSD. For the same computer. I just have to boot to it to switch. Does that work or do we need 2 working side by side?

It shows up as the E drive on this currently damaged system if we just need to copy files over.

Yes, both systems need to be running to point DISM to another system as source.

Some other options:
1. Do you have recent backups of this system? If so extract the WinSxS folder from the backup to C:\Temp
2. Run the following DISM command:
Code:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:C:\Temp\WinSxS\ /LimitAccess

Would a Windows 11 system work?

I don't have another Windows 10 system up but I'm sure I could find something laying around.

No, a Windows 11 system will not work the missing payload and manifest files are completely different.

You don't have any backups of this system either?

No backups. I can put in the SSD with a fresh copy of Window 10 on a laptop. What would I need to do after that?

Unfortunately, that won't help to resolve this issue since a fresh copy will not contain the missing files of this build and components of different updates.

Now that we have fixed the Servicing Stack, you should be able to perform a in-place-upgrade with the latest ISO of Windows 10 22H2.
