Hello Amigos:

I have this error in a Windows Server 2019 Ver 1809, When I try to install .Net Framework 4.8.

I check the log and looks thta the instalation is brocken when the instalation try to install the patch KB4486153.

I try to install the KB4486153 manually with the DISM, but I have this error:

Processing 1 of 1 - Adding package Package_for_KB4486153~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.1.3106
[==========================100.0%==========================]
An error occurred - Package_for_KB4486153 Error: 0x80092004

Error: 0x80092004

DISM failed. No operation was performed.
For more information, review the log file.

I alredy run the DISM CLeanup, reboot but again same error.

I see you alredy help other colleague with this error in the Forum, but MAXSTAR mention thta He needs to analyse the system to solve the porble.

If it helps to speed up I send the COMPONENTS hive file.

If you can help me really really thanks :-)

Hi @Paco_Bello,

Welcome to Sysnative Forums!

If you haven't already, please review the posting instructions here, and attach the requested log files. Without log files, our helpers will not be able to assist, and this will slow down fixing your machine.

If logs have been already been provided, our team of volunteers will analyse the provided log files to build a fix for your system. Please be aware that this may take several days from your initial post, due to the high volume of threads that we receive.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

The CBS logs you have posted are from a Windows 11 machine, not Server 2019?

Rich (BB code):
2025-01-21 16:57:58, Info CBS Loaded Servicing Stack v10.0.22621.4740 with Core: C:\WINDOWS\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-servicingstack_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.22621.4740_none_e928b4ac42f6002b\cbscore.dll

Please provide also a new copy of the COMPONENTS hive.

Upload your COMPONENTS hive.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
  • Please copy this file to your desktop.
  • Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
  • Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
  • If the file is too large to upload here, upload the file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.

Hello Amigo:

Sorry I hope I did not a mistake, because I am doing this from my Laptop to RDP the server.

Any way I send you again, but on this I am sure it is from the Win2019 Srv.

Many thanks for your help.

  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Afterwards try to install the .NET Framework update again and post the result. When it fails attach the latest CBS logs.
