Hello, I usually try to fix problems myself to not bother anyone but I'm out of ideas, tried multiple things to fix my stutters and audio dropouts when I play, I usually run into them while playing in VR, being a racing game it makes the stutters really annoying and kinda unplayable, I can even ruin the fun for others as I can end up creating incidents when losing the game for milliseconds due to stutters, I have a beast PC and I'd like to fix those issues, any help is welcome and I'd like to thank in advance your help !

I tried : disabling C-states, changing my PSU because I thought it was underpowered (was 600W, went on a 750W), disabled all the power throttling CPU things, threshold to 100% in power management, park CPUs etc (was already OFF), LatencyMon says classpnp.sys and the NDIS driver and sometimes the nvidia kernel driver are issues

  • OS : Windows 10 64 bit originally installed, not pre-installed
  • Age of system : GPU is brand new, otherwise I updated it here and there, the PC originally is from 2020 (motherboard and first 2 8Go RAM sticks)
  • Age of OS installation : 2020 - 2021
  • Have you re-installed the OS : No
  • System Manufacturer : I guess MSI if thats the motherboard manufacturer, otherwise I mounted myself the PC so it's not locked under manufacturer softwares etc, I didn't buy the PC pre mounted in a retail store
  • Laptop or Desktop : DESKTOP
  • MotherBoard : MSI B550-M VDH Wifi
  • CPU : Ryzen 7 5800X3D
  • RAM : Using all slots, I think it is Corsair Vengeance, got 4 sticks of 8Go RAM running at 3200 MHz
  • Video Card : RTX 4070 Ti Super 16 Go VRAM
  • Power Supply - brand & wattage : MSI Gold 750W
  • Is driver verifier enabled or disabled : I just checked it I didn't know it existed, when checking the settings of "verifier" it says no everywhere so I guess it's OFF
  • What security software are you using? : Just Windows Defender
  • Are you using proxy, vpn, ipfilters or similar software : No
  • Are you using Disk Image tools? (like daemon tools, alcohol 52% or 120%, virtual CloneDrive, roxio software) : No
  • Are you currently under/overclocking? Are there overclocking software installed on your system? I'm running XMP Profile and overclocked my CPU to make sure the 3D cache is used

Hello Corday and thanks for your reply, I will start a memtest before sleep because it seems long, I will try to play without overclocking but I think playing without the L3 cache will tank badly my perfs,

@xilolee sorry I forgot to open the access to the files, it should work now, everyone with link has access, thanks for looking into it !

Hi!

I would start by moving most of the programs and data to other partitions (creating some if necessary), thus letting the system partition "breathe" a bit more.

Hello, I did that but I think what seems to fix my issue is buy a dedicated router for my VR headset so no connections would conflict it and give me stutters inside the wireless headset, many thanks to you guys, hope it can help others VR users like me !
