[SOLVED] 2012R2 Update filas 8000FFFF

The fix failed again, let's try to replace the complete registry key using SFCFix.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFixScript.txt and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFixScript.txt file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Afterwards reboot the server and attempt to update, if it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log and the Component Based Servicing hive.

The CBS hive looks good, the corrupt value is fixed. Let's hope Windows Update will run without any issues after the reboot... 🤞

Please post a new copy of the Components Based Servicing hive, I wonder if the same value is corrupted again after the reboot...

Rich (BB code):
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TestCBS3\ComponentDetect\x86_microsoft-windows-system-events_31bf3856ad364e35_0.0.0.0_none_2a2f6fb14b53d827]
"Package_44_for_KB3147071~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.3.1.1.3147071-45_neutral_GDR"="歶耀"

Now it is another value with the same issue, could you please run the SFCFixScript in post #21 again, but don't reboot the system this time. And start Windows Update directly after running SFCFix..

If it fails again, attach a new copy of the Component Based Servicing hive.

yes, but update is installed without error. after reboot the export from Component Based Servicing hive hangs... whole mashine hangs...

trying after reboot failes, it says that harddrive c has an error.. and at this moment whole machine resets after bluescreen :-(
i have to go home now, i would restore on monday the maschine to the state of yesterday
and generate a fresh cbs log and hive if it is ok for you.

Could you please save the minidump files and or the memoy dump before restoring this server?

%SystemRoot%\Minidump\*.dmp
%SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP

Happy New Year to you too!
