Am i still infected? What should i do?

You may want to ask the same question at the other two forums where you posted for help. :( You do realize that we are all volunteers, many of us providing help at multiple forums. It takes time to review and analyze logs and provide detailed instructions. Perhaps you will consider that the next time you need assistance.

From our posting instructions:

We also request that you do not run any tools or fixes unless instructed once you've posted; if we're unable to keep track of which tools have been run it makes it harder for us, and ultimately you, to get the machine back up and repaired.

Okay. got that :)

Apparently, you didn't quite get that. For future reference, when you are seeking help on a forum, stick with one forum. Conflicting advice can result in an unbootable device!

As to your question on whether or not your system is clean, based on the logs I've seen, it appears so.

actually, i had posted in seven forums only. Initially. & i realized that its going to take minimum 3 days to get assistance. When i was blaming my friend for causing trouble to me, she was the one who actually advised me not to sit idle, but do somwthing to remove the malware & virus. I too thought its better to do something to get rid of the malware, rather than sit idle & let it spread. That is why i had posted in many forums about this, so that I may get response atleast from one quickly before my system gets completely infected & crashes ( I thought leaving a malware in the system would cause these effects) . & i thought getting help from many experts is always a good choice. I honestly did not know that it was a bad idea.

But yes, now i am sorry for it. Sorry for all the trouble I have caused.
Next time, when i need help, I ll make sure I post about it, only in one forum.

& lastly, thank you so much for your time & help. I know how tough & irritating it can get.. thank you so much corrine.

Now you're learned something else along with an important lesson -- never use another person's pendrive. :smile9: BTW, since it was your friend's pendrive, I certainly hope they have gotten rid of it and checked their own system for malware.

Take care and good luck in your studies.
