HI, John,
Thanks for your help. I was busy working on my post just above and had not seen yours. You see I did get stuck. I don't know how to create a zip file.
I did not have any external devices attached. (only exception is that I had my ethernet cable attached to my laptop - and didn't notice at first that it was not plugged into the router. I plugged it in and connected in safe mode. I don't think that's the problem though.
I clicked the start menu, typed cmd and got a command line. I typed perfmon /report - and it said path not found - or something like that. I tried several iterations. One with a space after perfmon and before/. Another with no space. Just didn't work. I think I did save the file at an html file though. When I went to save in document, it let me type in autorun.html - and I see that in my documents. Now I just have to get it to you.
I just tried attaching the html file - and a few others. It looked like the html and few others uploaded - but I don't see them yet. If they come through, I'm sorry they are piecemeal. Hopefully the html file went through.
I'm going to try to send the rest piecemeal if one more post does it. that is, if I see that the autorun.html got through.
Thanks.
Lynn.
