It's an Aorus X5v7 laptop. The guts are Gigabyte. While the model of the laptop is X5V7 the motherboard is a X5X7. Kind of confusing.


The only thing I can think on the OS side of things is something wasn't configured correctly when I reinstalled Windows but I was having these BSODs long before i did any reinstallation of Windows. 


The guy that was initially trying to help me over at tenforums.com noticed from my kernal dumps that there were issues with corrupted modules and I had some page file issues as well that were keeping the dumps from even being recorded initially. 


I bought the computer in June this year off Newegg.com as an "unboxed" unit I guess meaning it was lightly used or was a demo model. I never had any problems with it until early October however. Everything about the machine should be above board to my knowledge though.
