Can't do windows update

Hi there,

My computer has been giving me an error for windows update for awhile (a year+ at this point.) I was directed to a microsoft thread where other users are having the same/similar issues, and followed the directions on page one:
From the admin Command Prompt, please run the following commands:

reg load HKLM\COMPONENTS c:\windows\system32\config\components<br><br>reg load HKLM\DRIVERS c:\windows\system32\config\drivers

One of them might throw an error code. Post the error code or the screenshot here so that we can troubleshoot it.

Once we fix the updates issue, we'll address the Firewall error.

I did that and posted my results. My post is the top of page 12: Which says:
Following what everyone has has been told to do I get:

Components > ERROR: The configuration registry database is corrupt.

Drivers > The operation completed successfully.

and posted the components.txt file. I was then told:

Please download ComponentsScanner 64-bit and run it. Allow it to repair the hive when prompted.

Which I've done. I was not given a prompt to repair the hive however. I then followed all the instructions posted here: How to check your COMPONENTS registry hive for corruption and now here I am. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @Lirilei,

Welcome to Sysnative Forums!

If you haven't already, please review the posting instructions here, and attach the requested log files. Without log files, our helpers will not be able to assist, and this will slow down fixing your machine.

If logs have been already been provided, our team of volunteers will analyse the provided log files to build a fix for your system. Please be aware that this may take several days from your initial post, due to the high volume of threads that we receive.
