Did a clean boot, and chkdsk works normally. Removed Malwarebytes with the MBAM removal tool, and chkdsk does not have messages after reboot. Uninstalled Emsisoft Anti-Malware, and now chkdsk works normally after a reboot. I have used Emsisoft Anti-Malware free for years, and was surprised that it was the issue.
