Hi all,

I've got an old Thinkpad T580 running Windows 10. Recently I noticed all updates were failing, the usual error was 0x800703f1. I also noticed that the driver for my ethernet port was no longer working and when I go to reinstall the driver it says the configuration registry database is corrupt. I've tried the SFC and DISM routine several times now to no use. I've downloaded several registry cleaners and none have been able to fix the corruption. I don't have any system restore points back before the problem started unfortunately. I'm trying to save this build so reinstall isn't useful and I already have a functioning Win 11 partition on the machine that works but doesn't have the needed software installed. Any thoughts on fixing the registry?

Yeah, it's old enough it's not useable. I'm the guy busy backing up everyone else's machine and I don't get to my own often enough.

Such tools will never solve problems, but rather causes more issues on your system...

Hi,
