Sorry for a late reply. Grandson came over and spent the night dominating time.


This being a notebook complicates things. You may need to remove the drive and attach it to another computer to copy off any data you don't want lost.


Can you boot into the BIOS and make sure the disk is seen and is set in the boot order. A weak or failed CMOS battery can cause this, as can a failed drive. You might check this out too: FIX: Error 0xc00000e9 While Installing Windows 8 or Windows 7
