i need to update my windows from 20h2 to 22h2 to be able to use adobe photoshop 2024, so I hadn't realized I had this problem till yesterday. eventually, i searched for fixes.

i typed in sfc /scannow, and i'm hit with "windows resource protection could not start the repair device" i dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, get hit with another error code and a source not found. i tried deleting everything in the software distribution old and new. still doesn't fix anything. tried turning the

another thing i've noticed is i tried looking at previous "update installations" and see that my computer has "successfully" downloaded 22h2 exactly 20 times since december 2022, however i'm still somehow on 20h2? at this point i'm completely lost on what to do at this point, and i've heard good things from this website so i'm hoping that someone can at least lead me into an eventual fix. my biggest worry is my windows being corrupted and i need to completely wipe everything off my drive and reinstall windows, which i hope isn't the case and is some other issue.

Great, but this build "Windows 10 20H2" is out-dated (EOL) since May 2022, so I would suggest to update this system using the following tool.

Download the
61c988c2082b1-updateassistent.png
Windows 10 Update Assistant to your desktop.
  • Right-click on Windows10Upgrade9252.exe and select the option: Run as administrator.
  • Press the Update now button, click after the compatibility check on Next.
  • The Update Assistant will now download the latest Feature Update.
  • After verifying the download, the Feature Update will be installed.
  • When this process is ready, click on the Restart now button to complete the installation.

just used the update assistant! every thing works now, the only thing that seems a little confusing to me is that now everything seems a little more cooler in color/gray in color, but other than that, everything is updated without issue. thanks so much man!

You're welcome. Glad to hear the issue has been resolved... (y)

Yes, the default color scheme has been changed over the years, and you may also see new features on the taskbar but you can change that from settings.
