Ok.. More Bad News... cloning the disk appears impossible, I tried it again with a program called DiskGenius, and it failed in a similar manner to AOEMEI, so I deduce that it wasn't AOEMEI's fault to begin with. Went fine for half an hour and then the progress just stopped. So I guess all hope is lost at this point. Very depressing, esp after days and days of working with this garbage. It's such an odd thing all of this. How could this even happen to begin with? Two different WD Red ones (one on 3TB and one on 4TB) failing at the same time in such a weird fashion and in the same way. I have never in my life had any hard drives fail like this, just randomly corrupting 10-20% of the files and I've had a ton of hard drives..
And yeah I'm definitely gonna punish WD for this by never buying another drive of theirs in my life. That's for sure.
So since cloning the drive is a no go, I guess if you guys have some final tricks I can try out I'm all ears. It doesn't really matter at this point if it's risky since I'm running out of options here. And thanks for all the help btw, even tho this probably wont have a happy ending.
