Thanks for the support and tips, and yeah, computers sure can be so much fun at their worst can't they! I hope you do remember what that software was, sounds promising!
Yeah, for now, I will save all the data that I can (which is most of it, even tho, much of the corrupted files "just happens" to be the most important files (of course..) and then I will just chill for a few days with this because i honestly
can't take it any more, I'm just so fed up, but maybe I will come up with something later (or someone here will give me more tips.) I just don't wanna give up on these files quite yet but I do need a break.
