GPU for 57" Odyssey G9

So i've been doing my best to read into this one. Ill be looking to upgrade my 49" G9 to the 57" but I only currently have a 2080Ti. Im told even the 4090 can't bring out true 4K at the monitors highest frame rate. Other than the AMD Radeon RX 7000 am I going to have to wait for the 5080?

Geez and here I though their 49'' was a beast.

I'm not sure why the 4090 will not perform as it will do 8k at 60Hz ("they" don't know why either)

For me, I've been on Nvidia since the early 2000's. I tried an ATi and then an AMD and had problems both times switched to Nvidia.

If it were me, since I'm familiar and comfortable with Nvidia, I'd wait for the 5xxx series. I'm not saying I think Nvidia is better or without problems.

This is only my opinion; I do not want to see an AMD/Nvidia flame war started.
