Hello,

I am experiencing a persistent issue with my Windows Server 2022 Standard 21H2, Build 20348.1906, where it fails to install cumulative updates. Every attempt to install updates results in the following error logged in the Event Viewer:

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x8024200B: Security Update for Windows (KB5034770).

Here are the steps I've taken based on standard troubleshooting recommendations:

Resetting Windows Update Components
Running System File Checker (sfc /scannow)
Additionally, I've attempted to use DISM to repair the system image but have faced challenges due to lack of internet connectivity on the server. I used an ISO downloaded from Microsoft Volume Licensing (filename: en-us_windows_server_2022_updated_aug_2023_x64_dvd_78639bda.iso). However, I encountered issues with the DISM commands not finding the source files:

DISM /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:F:\sources\install.wim
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:Wim:F:\sources\install.wim:1 /LimitAccess
I also ran ComponentScanner, but it did not detect any problems.

At this point, I have exhausted all the typical troubleshooting steps without any success. I am attaching a link to the ComponentScanner output, the zipped CBS folder for further analysis:

Any insights, suggestions, or guidance would be greatly appreciated as I am running out of ideas on how to resolve this issue.

Many thanks in advance!

Regards,
LesK
