Hi again
Agents of Shield/Avengers fans (and fans of classical mythology) should enjoy the "Hydra" reference :)
If you decide to go back to Windows 8.1, there is a way to keep your option to upgrade to Windows 10 (for free) - even past the July 29 2016 deadline. It's a bit tedious, and it involves reinstalling your old Windows (8.1), then doing the online upgrade to Windows 10, then "rolling back" to your Windows 8.1 again. It keeps the Windows 10 upgrade license on file at Microsoft this way. A bit time-consuming, but might save some dollars:

In fact, you might not have to jump through any hoops at all, since you already upgraded to 10 - if you check an item in your current Windows 10 installation. Click the Start menu icon, select Settings, select Update and security, select Activation .... if you see "Windows 10 on this device is activated using digital entitlement" ... then you are already listed on the Microsoft activation servers (and don't have to do the reinstall/install/roll-back dance).
It would be a true irony if the new SteelSeries drivers fix the disconnect issue at the cost of new click-delays.
