Determine the file extensions of the files that you are attempting to play and make a note (mp3, wma, etc.,)Open VLC Player and from the menu bar select tools -> PreferencesSelect the Interface Icon in the left column and then the "Set up associations..." button near the bottom right.That should launch the Windows "Set Program Associations" windowScroll as needed and place checks appropriately.
