I'm going to blow away the Windows 8.1 and go back to 8. I have an image or 2 from prior to the upgrade. I understand Microsoft knew of these problems that others have complained about after the upgrade to 8.1 and pulled the upgrade on the 19th, just a little too late for me. If I have too, I will start from the MFG image and rebuild it, i'm just hoping my images work and I can start with 8 and where I left off. If I find I still have these problems then I will contact my computer company and have them replace it. Thanks you for you help. Just to let you know what ever was affecting my Microsoft updating was starting to work on my other programs auto updates as well. No virus, but just getting worse and worse, I tried to load MS Travel and Maps 2013 and the auto updater would not load and now my ESET antivirus will not update and all due to permissions issues.
