KB5034441-0x80070643-ERROR-INSTALL-FAILURE.webp

Devices attempting to install the Windows Recovery Environment update (KB5034441) might see the following error: 0x80070643 - ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE! This error is due to the size of the Recovery Environment's partition. If you'd like to wait for Microsoft to create a new release of this update, you can safely hide KB5034441 to prevent it from being offered over and over again.

SymptomNext step
When you try to apply this update on a PC that has no recovery partition, the update is unsuccessful and you receive the error 0x80070643 ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE.You do not need this update if the PC does not have a recovery partition. In this case, the error can be safely ignored.

We are working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.
