  • I have BSOD for a year and I try to fix so long ago but it didn't work. I try to clean install graphic driver with DDU so many time I even reinstall windows like 2 times. And it sitll happen when I play valorant specially in HEAVEN map, CS2 and Marvel rival but some games don't crash my laptop like Gotham Knight, Froza horizon 4 and Rainbow six siege. I tested with couple benchmark like Furmark or 3dmark it's still do pretty well any stress test or benchmark are fine Temperature around 75 degree Celsius.
  • Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 15IMH05

  • Windows 11
  • x64 (64bit)?
  • original installed OS on system was Windows 10
  • the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system)
  • Age of system? (hardware) almost 4 years
  • I have re-installed the OS
  • Intel core I5 10300H

  • driver verifier enabled
  • I use security software from windows
  • currently I'm not under/overclocking

I noticed that you are using two different brand ram
Problems in live kernel event, maybe associated with hardware components including hard disk, memory, and GPU

The problems you are having are associated with your gpu. Anything with " nvlddmkm " pretains to your nvidia gpu. Cause of errors could be driver conflicts, incorrect memory timings or voltages, overheating, corrupted driver installed or faulty graphics card.

VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR (113)

According to Stellar Info The Video DXGKRNL Fatal Error indicates that a violation has been detected by the DirectX graphics kernel subsystem. Generally, this error appears after updating the Windows OS. There website shows you how to fix this problem.

I have done it all but it still doesn’t work

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

Do these BSODs only happen when gaming?
Do they only happen in specific games?
Or do these BSODs happen at random no matter what you're doing?

I ask because the one dump you uploaded shows the Riot Vanguard anti-cheat tool vgk.sys is loaded and that is a very well-known cause of BSODs. I'm not claiming that vgk.sys IS the cause but it's a common problem.

In addition, this is a laptop and in many laptops the dGPU and iGPU work hand-in-hand to display graphics on the screen. It's also wise with laptops to stick to the graphics drivers supplied by the laptop vendor. When I check the driver download site for your model of laptop (Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IMH05) the dGPU (Nvidia) driver seems up to date, but there is an update for your iGPU (Intel) later than the version you have installed...

The latest version of the Intel iGPU driver on the Lenovo website is dated 7th April 2022. I strongly suggest that you download and install this driver....

BTW. Lenovo have no drivers for Windows 11, which you are running. On a laptop in particular that might be a problem. If you can't fix these BSODs it's definitely worth going back to Windows 10 and the Lenovo drivers and seeing whether the problem remains....

Yes, it only happen when I play Valorant but it's only on HEAVEN map I don't know why and CS2 and marvel rivals are randomly happen but some game don't happen at all like rainbow six, froza horizon 4, Phasmophobia and some AAA game
I use my external monitor to play game so I might not know that iGPU not up to date

Get that iGPU driver updated first.

Why was there only one dump in the Sysnative upload? Is that because you only recently reinstalled Windows? If you run any kind of garbage cleaner please exclude dumps file, and event log files from being cleaned.

I can see in the dxdiag output that you've been having several 0x141 live kernel events and 0x113 BSODs, all of that is pointing very squarely at this being some sort of graphics issue. It's very important that you get that Intel VGA driver updated.

That day I was playing a game and got a blue screen and when it restarted it rolled back my laptop maybe? Now I updated intel driver to the last version.

Well that's a worry right there! The Sysnative data collection app will always find all the dumps that there are, we should not be getting a different list each time you run it. That makes me immediately question the integrity of your system.

The FIRST thing I suggest you do, and it's already been suggested, is to remove one of those RAM sticks. Mismatched RAM causes no end of problems and we need to eliminate that first. I had (wrongly) assumed that you'd done that when it was first suggested in post #2 but both mismatched RAM sticks are still installed in that most recent Sysnative upload. I doubt that you bought it in that configuration, so remove whichever RAM stick you most recently installed and see whether the BSODs stop. THIS IS IMPORTANT.

In these 'new' dumps we now see, one of them fails because of vgk.sys, the Vanguard anti-cheat tool. I suggested earlier that this may be the cause of your problem and it absolutely was in one of these dumps...

It's very likely therefore that this may be the cause of all of your BSODs. You should contact Riot Games and report this to them.

We know that Vanguard is a major cause of BSODs so yes, please uninstall it, reboot and then see whether you get BSODs without it (I appreciate you won't be able to play some games).

Thank you for swapping the RAM around, that was an important test, and for updating the two graphics drivers. Where did those two graphics drivers come from by the way?

The dumps that your BSODs are producing are consistent, they all point to a fatal graphics problem. I think you have reached the point now where you have to suspect that your laptop cannot properly run Windows 11 - particularly as the vendor (Lenovo) has not produced any drivers for Windows 11, so the drivers you are installing are generic drivers that may not be fully compatible.

As much as it will pain you to do this, in order to establish conclusively whether this is a Windows 11 incompatibility problem or some more serious hardware problem (probably with the dGPU), I strongly suggest that you back everything up and clean install Windows 10, using the drivers from the Lenovo website for your laptop, and see whether the BSODs stop. If they do stop then you will know that you cannot fully run Windows 11 on that laptop. If the BSODs continue however, then I would be pretty confident that the problem was a bad dGPU in the laptop.

I once went back to using Windows 10 when the first symptoms started. I tested it with the game Valorant, but the BSOD still occurred with the same stop code as now. Back then, I didn't know much about computers, so I went back to using Windows 11 like I am now. I'm thinking of trying the recovery media from Lenovo's website. Do you think I should give it a try?recovery media.webp

I do, yes. I think you need to go back to the state it was in when you bought it so that you can be certain whether there is a hardware problem. Don't install any games just yet, and definitely don't install Vanguard. In fact, I would suggest you not install anything at all after the factory reset until it's been fully tested. If you want to stress the laptop once it's back on Windows 10 use OCCT, it's what I use to stability test new builds. You can stress CPU, RAM, graphics, even the PSU in there. The default settings will be fine, but run each test for an hour at least.

Once it's passed the OCCT tests you can start reinstalling your third-party software. I would test it after each install - to be sure you're not reinstalling the problem. Leave Valorant and Vanguard to the very end - I still think that has been at least part of your problems.

BTW. I would give it a good clean too, laptops overheat very easily. Pay special attention to the vents for the fan - typically the intake is on the bottom and the exhaust on the side - but check where your vents are. There is a finned heat exchanger right next to the exhaust and close to the fan. That's where dust and fluff builds up and restricts the cooling ability. You may need to take the back off the laptop to properly clean that heat exchanger.
