The msconfig settings have remained the same and turning on the computer I had to disconnect the power cord several times before I got the windows login on screen. Also this computer is left on for most the day. There are no error messages.

I think you may be facing a hardware problem with the monitor. How old is it?

The monitor is about 10 years old (VA1912WB Viewsonic). I think I'll try to see if I can get inside of it and see what's going on. I don't the error message in the last 2 days. Can I reset msconfig to the way it was before? Thanks.

I reset msconfig and enabled Intel Management and Security Application Local Management Service also Intel Management and Security Application User Notification Service. There was no error message. Should I reinstall Intel Driver Update Utility?
