Advise please. Currently Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit. Need to upgrade to Win 10 64 bit. Have not clue where to start. Upgrade to Win 10 32 bit first or bite the bullet and reinstall everything (over 200 programs from Adobe to Quickbooks to Microsoft Office to Endnote and many more)? Feeling seriously overwhelmed. Thanks for ANY advice. Don't know where to begin. Computer is 64 bit ready.

I think you can upgrade to Windows 10 32bit without losing those programs.
Instead, for windows 10 64bit, a clean installation would be mandatory...

Apparently there are programs that promise to move programs as well as files, but I don't know if they works for sure, and by the way they probably aren't free.

I would upgrade using Windows 10 x86 to ensure that those programs are going to work correctly. Since they have been designed against x86 targets then they may expect certain file paths and dependencies in order to function. Personally, I would just do a clean install to Windows 10 x64, because do you really use the 200+ programs which you claim to have?

Please note that Windows 10 is only supported until 2025 and Windows 11 does not have any support for x86. I would strongly suggest creating a backup of your system before you do anything.
