Is the system with the problem the same Lenovo Y50 FHD gaming laptop that is in your signature?  I've seen threads about some "known issues" with the touchpad drivers acting up (the most noticeable issue was faulty right-click responsiveness).  When you mention your "mouse" cursor - are you using the touchpad, or an attached external mouse?   [...and does the issue happen in Safe Mode?]  FreeBooter already mentioned seeing if a new driver was available for your problem device (whether touchpad or mouse) -- I think checking on Lenovo's website is a good idea too.  While you are at the Lenovo support site, you could also check if there are any "known issues" with your particular model  ... since gaming laptops have lots of the latest performance subsystems, they tend to also get a lot of patches/updates for the newest gadgets.  There could be a BIOS/UEFI update, too - which might help.


Very interesting, that's for sure.  Let us know if anything improves.  Can't hurt to try some of the suggestions - they are for the most part fairly quick and painless (though of course - your schedule might limit things to small steps here & there ... )
