[SOLVED] Problem with windows update on windows 22h2

For a few months now, I've been trying to update my PC without success.

When I try to install an update, I get an error " 0x800700c1". I've tried various solutions, such as the sfc scan or the ISO image repair.

I've also tried reinstalling the system through the Windows 11 Tool Installer, but without success, as the installation returns that it is impossible to perform the installation.

Therefore, for this reason, I am creating this post. Below I attach the CBS file and the Component Scanner file.
Additionally, both the sfc scanner and the dism scan return errors. The first sfc doesn't start at all

"C:\Windows\System32>sfc /scannow

Protezione risorse di Windows: impossibile avviare il servizio di ripristino. "

, while the second returns the error I leave below.
"0x800f081f

Impossibile trovare i file di origine."

I tried scanning my system with various anti-malware and anti-virus software. From the results obtained, I always achieved a complete clean. For example, I used Malwarebytes and other well-known antivirus programs.

I am asking if anyone can help me solve this problem. Thank you.

Great, since you are running an old build I would suggest to update using the following tool.

Download the
61c988c2082b1-updateassistent.png
Windows 11 Installation Assistant to your desktop.
  • Right-click on Windows11InstallationAssistant.exe and select the option: Run as administrator.
  • Press the Update now button, click after the compatibility check on Next.
  • The Update Assistant will now download the latest Feature Update.
  • After verifying the download, the Feature Update will be installed.
  • When this process is ready, click on the Restart now button to complete the installation.

Thanks, I'll try to install it right away and I'll update you on the result, thank you very much!!

Thank you so much!!! The update was successful, are there any special precautions to follow to avoid this type of problem in the future? As a premium antivirus I used MCAfee, is it valid or is system antivirus sufficient? Thanks again for the huge help!!

You're welcome. Glad to hear the issue has been resolved... (y)

Yes Windows Defender is enough to protect your system, and basically even better than third party security apps. In addition to Defender, you can use an offline scanner like ESET Online Scanner to check the system periodically as second opinion. Free Online Virus Scan & Removal Tool | ESET
