[SOLVED] SFC can't repair system files

  1. KB4023057 (with error 0x80070643)
  2. KB4481252 (with error 0x80070643)
  3. big update to 1709 (with error 0x80070522)
It seems though that MS Defender definition updates are installed correctly since I've seen one in the list earlier today, and also the Defender security center shows me that it updated its definitions today

Let's try getting you to the latest version:

  1. Download the Media Creation Tool and save this to your desktop. Go ahead and run this as well. Note: Click the Download tool now button when you get to this link.
  2. Accept the License Agreement
  3. Download the ISO file to your desktop.
  4. Double-click on the ISO and then run the setup to try and upgrade your machine.

We want to get the ISO so that you don't have to keep downloading which can take hours.

Ok, I've started the download, but I already have an original ISO for 1703. Wouldn't it be enough?
To be honest my idea was to fix my current version, make a backup if I want to revert from the new ones, and install the functionality updates one by one

I have downloaded the ISO. What is not clear to me if you wanted me to run the setup, or if it's just needed for something other.
In case I need to run the setup I have a question: is it like a "refresh", which resets the system and uninstalls everything?

I've made a full disk backup (C + WinRE hidden partition) and upgraded the system with the downloaded ISO's installer, and mostly everything seems to be good so far. Windows Update still can't install the Silverlight update (error 0x80070643), but others are not waiting in the list. .NET is completely OK now, both Management Console windows and programs built on .NET do work perfectly. We will see if the memory management problem still comes back, but I didn't came across with it even with the previous version after installing the regular small updates

It seems everything is OK now. Updates are downloaded and installed successfully, and it seems memory management doesn't try to move everything to pagefile, though I didn't reach such a high system uptime than I used to. And for Silverlight, I just uninstalled that since I never used it, or maybe only once years ago.
