Hello, I have a Windows 10 Pro 22H2 x64 machine with a lot of software and its licences.
Windows Update is not working anymore unfortunatly after power outage and now is showing "Something went wrong. Try to reopen Settings later" and I also cannot also do In-Place upgrade, I have tried Windows 10 22H2 again, Windows 11 23H2 and 24H2, everything fails before restarting without error code. SFC and DISM are also not working, now I will post the results.

This is SFC, also the TrustesInstaller service method doesn't change the result
Code:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc /scannow

Protezione risorse di Windows: impossibile avviare il servizio di ripristino.

And this is DISM
Code:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Strumento Gestione e manutenzione immagini distribuzione
Versione: 10.0.19041.3636

Versione immagine: 10.0.19045.5608

Errore: 193

%1 non è un'applicazione di Win32 valida.

Il file di registro di Gestione e manutenzione immagini
distribuzione è disponibile in C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

Now I will also attavch the required files written in the instructios, I have run also ComponnetsScanner and SFCFix (without any ZIP) and inside the CBS folder there is only this log.

Hi @lorenzodelb,

Welcome to Sysnative Forums!

If you haven't already, please review the posting instructions here, and attach the requested log files. Without log files, our helpers will not be able to assist, and this will slow down fixing your machine.

If logs have been already been provided, our team of volunteers will analyse the provided log files to build a fix for your system. Please be aware that this may take several days from your initial post, due to the high volume of threads that we receive.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Do you have backups of this system because a subkey of the COMPONENTS hive is completely empty

Step 1. Download
67139f7e69a58-SFCFix-ico.PNG
SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Hello
I want to inform that in-place upgrade went just fine using USB method to Windows 11 24H2 and I installed all Windows Updates without problems, including cumulative update. This machine was already planned to upgrade to Windows 11, but maybe it would be worked also with Windows 10. Now I'm taking a backup of the disk, thank you for the support, before it wasn't working and you can mark as solved!

Hi,

You're welcome. Glad to hear the issue has been resolved and making backups / system images is always a good idea... (y)
