[SOLVED] [Win10v1511Build10586 x64] Corrupt Sytem Files causing Win. upgrade to give me BSOD

Re: Corrupt Sytem Files causing Windows upgrade to give me BSOD

Okay, as you wish. I'd have to collect the logs that are being created during the upgrade process to be able to answer your question precisely. When you'd like me to, post back, and I'll resume the troubleshooting.
Thanks.

Quick question for you though. Is it possible to install Windows 10 or 7 on a External Drive ? Is it just a mattering of formating it the right way, like with Rufus ?

There are some Windows To Go options, but I've never tried any of them, so, I can't tell you that it would certainly work.

Re: Corrupt Sytem Files causing Windows upgrade to give me BSOD

I want to thank you for all your help Softwaremanic, but it seems the only way to get past this problem and the other smaller windows issuses is to do a clean install. I do need to upgrade my ram, other wise windows will complain when I reach 80% usage when trying to play a game.. I know I can turn that off, via a registry edit. However, when I start fresh, I'm going to try and avoid tinkering with Windows too much. I have a fresh install on a different drive I can play around with and figure out how to set up windows the way I have it now. This way, I can always come back to my current windows. You gave it your best, but with Windows itself being all wierd every few days, and needing a forced reboot. I can't test the stablity of all the error fixing I did.

Thanks again!
