Re: [Win8.1Pro N] Audio latency issues (High execution time of ndis.sys)
Apparently it just needed some time, still have the issue. I even bypassed my bridged router and ran a long cat6 cable to my primary switch. So no bridge mode, no wifi adapter, just a wire running 75-100 feet to the 8 port switch served by my ISP-provided (and required) modem.
Note: Also since we've been messing with my GPU a little, I did a clean reinstall of its drivers as well.
Re: [Win8.1Pro N] Audio latency issues (High execution time of ndis.sys)
I'd have to go to 10. If that's the case, how would I go about preserving my overclock through the upgrade? Also, what would have changed that this setup was fine for years on Windows 8.1 without this audio issue?
Re: [Win8.1Pro N] Audio latency issues (High execution time of ndis.sys)
Do you know if when the BIOS update says it'll revert settings to default, does that mean it'll clear my presets as well? I don't mind temporarily going back to 3.3 GHz during the upgrade and then having to retest the OC, I just don't want to lose an overclock that I spent an entire day tweaking if there's any way to avoid it.
Re: [Win8.1Pro N] Audio latency issues (High execution time of ndis.sys)
Alright, I'll work on getting the computer in a good state to upgrade, it might be a few days. I'll check back in once it's all set with Win10 and all the new motherboard drivers/BIOS.
Re: [Win8.1Pro N] Audio latency issues (High execution time of ndis.sys)
Been running Windows 10 for a couple days now, yesterday was the first full "typical" day. So far, the issue hasn't come back. Going to give it another couple days but it looks like Win 8 really was the cause or just something else that was wiped out by doing a complete format of C:
