[Win8 x64] WU error code 800703F1 and corruption in components hive.

I have not been able to update windows in a long time or install software such as visual C++ 2015 and msxml 4.0. I have tried to upgrade to windows 10 but the installation fails at "Working on updates: x%", and before even reaching 20% it restarts and shows "Restoring your previous version of windows" for 10-15 minutes and it goes back to windows 8.
I have tried to reset windows update components and try to install/check for updates in a clean boot state but nothing works.

Do you have an earlier copy or backup of the COMPONENTS hive? This one has been overwritten with other data.

No I don't. But I do have another PC running a clean version windows 10 x64 with no issues, is it possible to upgrade my windows 8 to 10 after overwriting the win 10 components file to my win 8 one?
 
Or could someone provide me with a components file for windows 8 x64 that is not corrupt?
