Greetings folks,
Have a Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit) VM on vSphere 8. Attempts to update to SP1 fail as evident in post installation boot to recovery console. So, ran SFC /Scannow and noted "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them."... which brings me to the forum.
Attached is the zipped CBS logfile folder per the instructions.
Installed the SURT package (windows6.1-kb947821-v34-x64_cc4a605bcda8288af75983312e8fb25367e98fdd.msu).
Attempted to install ComponentsScanner (64-bit) with install failing with the following message, "ComponentsScanner.exe - Entry Point Not Found. The procedure entry point GetEnabledXStateFeatures could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll."
Also tried the 32-bit version with the same result and message.
Appreciate the support y'all provide.
Thanx!
D Allen
