Windows 8.1 Update Error

How did you remove Internet Explorer 11 exactly? Did you disable it via the "Turn on and off Windows feature"? And even if you disable Internet Explorer, you should still install the updates for it. If they fail, re-enable it and install them.

No problem :) There's other software that can use Internet Explorer components on Windows, and if they are left there and become outdated, and a vulnerability is found within one of these components, it can be a security risk. Hence why I would install the updates even thought you don't use it and/or disable it.
