[SOLVED] Windows 8.1 x64 (6.3 build 9600) - CORRUPT: C:\windows\winsxs\amd64........\iisrstas.exe

Good. Perform a scan with SFCFix again and report the result.

Great. The log of SFCFix is also clean.
Any remaining issues ?

Hi PeterJ,
unfortunately this has not fixed the problem with printer(works)/scanner(no).
Now I'll try to remove all HPware around, included HP assistant (not visible in pcontrol/programs, have to found a way) and HP netframework, drivers, printui, etc.
finally reinstall driver an test.

After that I'll check red messages in event viewer and will be back to you in case possible check
which worth the effort to try to fix, or is possible live with them, instead.

I've left around some logs of wiatrace (mine and one of my wife's pc that suffered same problem, but after some months
her pc repaired itself don't know how).

Meanwhile, if you have any suggestion, especially for WIA issue (exist some specific tool?), it's welcome of course.

Try to repair or reinstall the printer software first.

OK.

Hi PeterJ,

tried reinstalling HP print/scanner but scanner does not work.
All the service are

Remote Procedure Call RPC Auto - Running
DCOM Server Process Launcher Auto - Running
RPC Endpoint Mapper Auto - Running
Shell Hardware Detection Auto - Running
Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) Auto - Running

based on
Codici di errore (WIA) - Win32 apps

0x8021000A
0x80210005

the scanner is not connected but works with another pc and with a win8.1 virtualboxed on my pc,
so there must be something really bastard inside this installation, currently.

At least I have now a clean system and may be I'll found a solution a day.

You can close this thread,
many thanks for your support and time.
