windows cant complete update

So i was told i have an update. I started the update and it said it needed to restart to complete the update. It went to 100% and said that it couldnt be completed at his time . and it took what it did do off and put it back to its prior cond. So the little notification light on the task bar is on constantly cause i have an available windows update ... Ive done this a lot of time meaning ive treied to let the update take place and i get the same ending as i wrote above... I ran the troubleshooter it said to simply restart my computer.. I did and i rec. the same message about not being able to complete... So im going in this cirvle over and over again and again.. I found you guys by try to fix the problem..Im not sure if youi can help or not but im trying... So now a new issue has come up i went to do what i had to to get the cbs.zip file r folder. there is a log folder but when i click on it it just says tron. There is no other folders.

I'm not sure what you mean? What happens when you try the following from a command prompt:

copy %systemroot%\Logs\CBS %userprofile%\Desktop /v

This will copy the logs in the CBS folder to your desktop.
