Hello again All,

Just to update you in case someone goes through the same problem. I reinstalled PDF Converter Professional 8.0 again and lo and behold, the same problem began with Windows Explorer. I then installed a new patch that Nuance developed (very difficult installation because it had to be done in normal mode). The problem is now solved and I have PDF C....installed and functioning well. I won't spend any more time trying to figure out what happened, but it is very odd as my desktop and notebook are clones of each other as to applications...and my notebook never had the problem. I now consider this a case closer. Thanks again.
