Hello Sysnative,

I am looking for help with a Windows Update problem - error 0x800700c1
The PC runs Windows 11 version 22H2, OS Build 22621.819

I have tried many things (SFC, DISM) but to no success.

This forum has the most detailed instructions about these problems I have found on the net and hoping someone can help!

Issue:
When I try to run Windows update, it doesn't work and gives error 0x800700c1 in 3 updates:
1. KB5044033
2. KB5012170
3. Windows 11 22H2
I have tried install it manually but with no success.

Step 1: Run SFC Scan
This does not run and says the following:

Code:
C:\Users\Administrator>sfc /scannow

Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service.

Step 2: DISM
This also does not run -- gives Error 193 (see below).
DISM.log is attached.

Code:
C:\Users\Administrator>Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.22621.1

Image Version: 10.0.22621.819

DISM failed. No operation was performed.
For more information, review the log file.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

Step 3: ComponentsScanner
This was run with warnings.
I uploaded the results to Sysnative and ComponentsScanner.txt is attached.

Step 4: Export CBS folder

If logs have been already been provided, our team of volunteers will analyse the provided log files to build a fix for your system. Please be aware that this may take several days from your initial post, due to the high volume of threads that we receive.

I've tried to run sfc /scannow and it worked but with errors

Beginning verification phase of system scan.

Everything worked. DISM worked and the computer updated without any problems.
You rule!
Thank you for your help and time!

Edit:
The big update failed. It downloaded 100% and installed as well. A prompt to restart the computer appeared. After writing the success post, I checked the update service for new updates and a message was displayed:
Windows 11, version 22H2 - error 0x80246007
