[SOLVED] Windows Update Broken - DISM Error 582; SFC doesn't work

It seems that a registry key is corrupted. I am unable to install the latest cumulative update

I already tried

sfc /scannow (no integrity issues)
restart
dism /image:c:\ /clleanup-image /revertpendingactions
restart

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

it fails with

An illegal character was encountered. For a multi-byte character set this includes a lead byte without a succeeding trail byte. For the Unicode character set this includes the characters 0xFFFF and 0xFFFE.

The output of componentscanner is attached.

When I looked closely at the output of componentscanner, I noticed it is not a key but a value that was corrupt. The tool suggestion, to replace an o-hat with a u was correct. After that dism restorehealth succeeded. Then windows update succeed. I am good to go. Nice tool. Thanks!
