[SOLVED] Windows updates fails and sfc corruption since May 2015 Windows updates downloaded

Updates seem to be downloading fine now. Based on the sfc /scannow report, is there anything else that you suggest needs completed? Thanks alot

Hello,

Your latest CBS.log is OK. :dsmile:

However, we feel it's best to give CHKDSK /r another run to be absolutely certain there are no issues here.

Please rerun the command (CHKDSK /r) in Normal Mode from an elevated Command Prompt, and provide the results upon completion (using ListChkdskResult).

Hi Joe,

The log looks good. :dsmile: Is there anything else I can help with?

I am not sure that the last chkdsk /r log I sent ran at the time I meant it to as when I turned on the laptop just now it automatically started to run. I am thinking that maybe I scheduled it, and even though I rebooted last time when I ran it, that it may not have actually ran. If you can just take a look at the latest results from the CHKDSK /r, to make sure that it looks okay, that would be great. Thanks much.

I believe everything is okay now then. Laptop seems to be functioning fine, accepting Windows updates, and completing sfc /scannow task when needed. Thanks so much for all your expertise. Your guidance in fixing the issues is truly very much appreciated. Your site is truly a great resource, particularly given the OS maker's lack of quality control as they apply to the updates they provide their users. Thanks Again!

Excellent.

Thank you for the kind words. :dsmile:

All the best,
Adam
